The Celebration Artist
A short documentary profiling NYC public artist Jeanne Fleming, tracing the current works in her decades-long career creating large-scale public celebrations in New York. The film centers on Fleming's ongoing effort to sustain her Sinterklaas festival, a passion project she continues to fight for amid the loss of her husband and mounting financial challenges. Through Fleming's story, the film captures what it takes to keep independent public art alive in an age that doesn't always make it easy.
