An experimental film exploring the shifting terrain of a bodily transformation. Through macro cinematography that renders skin as an all-encompassing abstract landscape, the film follows a visceral journey: extreme close-ups of this body-terrain give way to penetration by a needle, releasing into the body's interior. As a substance spreads through tissue and organ, the skin ruptures and bleeds, dissolving boundaries between interior and exterior. The body ultimately transforms into a moth, an enigmatic metamorphosis that is neither triumphant nor tragic. The film subtly investigates dysphoria, dysmorphia, and the profound desire to become something other than what we are without knowing just what that other is. It is a work about change as sudden violence and liberation.
